Cem Öztürk

I graduated from Boğaziçi University Department of Management Information Systems in 2015. After working in ING Bank Credit Risk Analytics Department for 2 years and gaining experience in analytics, I completed my Master's degree in Data Science at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in Munich, Germany.

I am currently working as a data scientist at a media company in Germany. After studying at University and having gained analytical experience in business life, I started my master's degree in Germany in order to focus better on theoretical in Computer Engineering and Statistics. During this period, I also taught in various data Science certificate programs at my university in Germany. I have worked with many Supervised and Unsupervised methods. I am currently expanding my thesis position on Neural Networks and Reinforcement Learning. My field is inherently integrated into more than one field of study, so I have knowledge of linear and non-linear optimization, statistical theory and mathematics.

The models I made at the bank (ensemble) enabled us to reduce wreck rates in our small and medium business customers. I have prepared more than 20 trainings at the Academy. In the online publishing industry, I worked for the cookie-free ERA, and the artificial intelligence models (ML) that I made to increase ad targeting increased traffic to the site by ~12%.
